Everybody likes a good mixtape, especially if said mix is assembled by a great artist. Good thing then that Caribou — a.k.a. Dan Snaith — has built what he calls “The Longest Mixtape — 1000 Songs for You,” i.e., 1,000 songs he really likes. He’s got some Can, Wire, Kanye West, Placebo, Missy Elliott, Arthur Russell, the Byrds, Kraftwerk, Broadcast, Lightning Bolt, and loads more. Just keep in mind that YouTube only lists 200 tracks in the embed, so if you want to hear all 1,000 songs, you’ll need to scroll through the actual list, which you can find here.
