Bryan Adams…No, Wait, It’s RYAN Adams!
The notoriously surly Ryan Adams finally succumbed to fan requests at a recent concert in Sydney, Australia. The prolific singer-songwriter sang Bryan Adams’ “Summer of ’69,” for the Aussie audience. Because of glaring similarity between their names, Ryan is often asked to play Bryan Adams hits at his concerts by cheeky fans, but Adams the Younger hasn’t always found it so funny: He once had a fan thrown out of a Nashville venue in 2002 for requesting Bryan’s ode to pawn shop six-strings. According to the New York Post, after he played “Summer,” audience members began shouting for Ryan Adams’ own hits, and the less than chipper Adams said, “I’m not a waiter.” Adams most recent critical fete, Cold Roses, came out in May.
