Bruno Mars and Mark Ronson Give ‘SNL’ Some ‘Uptown Funk’

Bruno Mars Mark Ronson Mystikal Uptown Funk SNL Video

If this week’s Saturday Night Live episode is any indication, perennially suited London retro soul producer Mark Ronson has finally found an appropriate match in Bruno Mars. We’ve already heard the song and seen the video for their forthcoming collaboration “Uptown Funk,” but when they brought that collaboration to the 30 Rockefeller Plaza soundstage on it highlighted just the sort of kindred spirits that the Unorthodox Jukebox singer and Ronson really are. As Ronson gave an electric guitar performance that Prince, another recent SNL guest, could have been proud of, Mars coolly sing-rapped his way through the recent single with an effortlessness that fits the producer’s compositions. New Orleans rapper Mystikal also turned up to perform his single with the duo, “Feel Right,” you can catch that one below and “Uptown Funk” above.
