Bruno Mars Shares ‘Locked Out of Heaven’ Video Ahead of ‘SNL’ Hosting Appearance

Bruno Mars Locked Out Of Heaven Video

Those hellions in Kings of Leon wanted to light it on fire, but Bruno Mars wants to ride “your sex” into Kingdom Come if he can. The mercurial Hawaiian popster appears as a ’70s soul singer and all-around cool guy in the new video for “Locked Out of Heaven.” The vintage may be slightly off since the Unorthodox Jukebox single sounds far more Sting than Curtis Mayfield, but the look is a good one nonetheless. Mars performs in an intimate club, plays dice with his pals, smokes, drinks and even spins a bottle in the Cameron Duddy-directed clip. We presume all the acting was in prep for his October 20 hosting duties for Saturday Night Live, where he’s also confirmed to perform “Locked Out of Heaven.” Apparently he was supposed to wait to unveil the video but Mars instead took to “twitta” where in brutally annoying babyspeak, he offered fans an early gift. Unorthodox Jukebox is due out December 11 on Atlantic.
