'Jeopardy!' Category Tests Your Knowledge of Bruce Springsteen

How well do you know the Boss?

The folks over at Jeopardy! are still apparently on a music kick. Thursday night, rather than test competitors with buzz bands (who are Haim?) oralt-rock(who are Nine Inch Nails?) they trained their gaze on one of the titans of late 20th century Americana, Bruce Springsteen.

All of the other categories in the show's first round also bore Springsteen-related names ("Born in the U.S.A.," "Glory Days," "Cover Me," "The Ghost of Tom Joad," and "The 'E' Street Band"), but a category called "Bruce Springsteen" assessed the contestants' knowledge of the man's music.

What track was "proposed as New Jersey's state song...despite two suicide mentions?" What song did Springsteen originally intend for the Ramones? To which city did he offer greetings on his debut album? If you know these and more, then hey, you might not have been subtly mocked by Alex Trebek like poor Jeff in this clip. Bonus points if you catch the reference to Springsteen's performance on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon

Watch the Boss' whole category up above.
