Shins boss James Mercer and production whiz Danger Mouse drop After the Disco on February 4, reuniting in the form of Broken Bells — a moody pop project that this time comes with a sci-fi short film starring Anton Yelchin (Star Trek Into Darkness, Terminator Salvation) and Kate Mara (House of Cards, American Horror Story). We've seen it all come together in the video for "Holding on for Life," and now we get some more audio to explore. Heard below, title track "After the Disco" offers a more upbeat vision, borrowing its rhythm from that glistening genre and intermittently bursting with falsetto blooms.
