Will.i.am and Britney’s ‘Scream & Shout’ Remix: All the Rappers in the World Can’t Save It

scream and shout britney spears will.i.am bitch Waka Flocka Flame Lil Wayne Diddy Hit-Boy remix

Will.i.am and Britney Spears’ Euro-clubby chart-climber “Scream & Shout” is a hater’s smörgåsbord from the bloodless beat to the Jesse Pinkman-like bandying about of the B-word to that fake accent that Brit inexplicably saddles herself with. So, you know, why not throw some more kindling on that blazing brown bag of bull? Above you’ll find the freshly released remix video for the aforementioned track.

Yes, Will.i.am made some calls and brought in a seriously incongruous lineup of serious mike-swingers — Diddy, Hit-Boy, Waka Flocka Flame, Lil Wayne — but all the king’s goofy hairdos and all the king’s men can’t put the oomph back in Britney again. The new verses are too throwaway and too brief to count (although Waka injects a few seconds of real charisma), and there’s far too much Will time in between.

Meanwhile, recently resurrected Ruff Rydin’ rapper Eve has suggested Spears isn’t even the one affecting an English intonation on the song. “I heard that might not be Britney,” she told Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live. “That’s what I heard, but you know, I don’t know. It could be Britney, but I heard it wasn’t.” Spears’ publicist Jeff Raymond fired back via TMZ: “It’s absolute BS. Britney sang the song. Will.i.am wanted her for this song and she sang on it.”

Bad move, dude. Eve was just trying to give her an out.
