Earlier this year, the ever-prolific Brad Laner revived his band Medicine to release To the Happy Few, the Los Angeles shoegazers’ first album with their original lineup since 1995’s Her Highness. Not one to rest on his laurels, Laner has now shared another new full-length, this one bearing his own name. Nearest Suns is out today, October 29, via Hometapes, and marks Laner’s third solo record for the label. In conjunction with the freshly dropped LP, the guitar wizard has shared new single “Be Gone,” a warm, mystical lo-fi chant. As a bonus, Laner has paired the track with a homemade music video that captures him recording all of the vocals and instrumentals for “Be Gone.”

“I filmed myself performing each instrumental and vocal part with my iPhone whilst recording the audio into Logic on my main computer,” Laner says in an official statement. “When finished I made a stereo mix to serve as the audio and sent all of the clips to my brother Josh who, via his excellent taste and skill, made it as entertaining to watch as is possible when viewing a scruffy 45-year-old dude concentrating very hard on not fucking up.”
