That’s right. The New York Post is reporting that Kid Rock and Pamela Anderson’s split is directly traceable to Rock’s anger over Anderson’s appearance in Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan.
The couple, who married just four months ago, reportedly got into an explosive argument at Universal studio chief Ron Meyer’s house two weeks ago. Meyer screened Borat for Rock, Anderson, and several others, and Rock considered Anderson’s performance, of which he apparently knew nothing whatsoever, so embarrassing and infuriating that he reputedly called her a “slut” and a “whore.” Since then, relations between the two have gone from bad to worse, and Anderson announced that the split was for real on her website Monday (Nov. 27).
Of course this is just the latest in a long line of people stirred to extreme anger by Borat. The movie’s star and writer, Sacha Baron Cohen, is the subject of at least three lawsuits, including one for $30 million from Romanian villagers featured in the movie, to say nothing of the intense ire of his countless critics. Funny enough, it was announced yesterday that Cohen is engaged to marry Australian actress Isla Fisher.
