The upcoming Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival has implemented a plan that will lessen the event’s waste via the use of recycled paper, tree-free posters, biodegradable concession stand items from eco-friendly vendors, and cleaner fuel options — one stage is even solar-powered! Post-festival waste will be recycled for use as park benches and construction material. These efforts will divert over 60 percent of the event’s waste from landfills, organizers say.
