With Bonnaroo ’08 less than two weeks from kicking off, we here at SPIN.com are already digging out our tents, sunscreen, and die-hard festival ‘tudes to hit this year’s installment with full-force, bringing those at home complete coverage of the festival’s awesome lineup.

And while we wait to board our trains, planes, and automobiles for the trip down south, highlights from last year’s festival are in constant rotation. Among them, a video interview with the Long Winters’ John Roderick, who was onsite — clad in his best Hunter S. Thompson disguise — covering the festival for MSNBC.

Watch video of our Peter Gaston chatting with Roderick backstage about “messing” with the Decemberists’ live set, gonzo journalism, the Long Winters’ future plans, and the pleasures of covering Bonnaroo ’07.
