Electronic Baile funk trio Bonde Do Role know how to get a party started, and thanks to the help of some new friends, this party will never stop. The Marina Gasolina EP, out Dec. 4 via Domino Records, features a few new tunes and select remixes by CSS, Ladytron, Fake Blood, and more. Here, flirty club favorite "Marina Gasolina" receives the royal remix treatment courtesy of electro rock provocateur Peaches. The near five-minute nugget features a sultry techno flavor compared to the original, but the undulating synth coiled around Marina Vello's dominant shouts and guttural growls is reminiscent of a darker but just as danceable sound. The signature kick drums nod to the group's Brazilian roots, but sinister waves of feedback and distorted handclaps are more akin to Lords of Acid than fellow Baile funk enthusiast M.I.A. Though it's nearly impossible to discern any lyrics other than "Marina Gasolina" and "Marina is on fire," you can be sure Vello's saying something dirty, so don't be ashamed to get on the dance floor and grind -- you know you want to.
