Bob Mould Rips Through 'Keep Believing' on 'Conan'

Bob Mould keeps making a fierce case for Silver Age. Not just the former Hüsker Dü and Sugar frontman's new Merge solo album, but also the 52-year-old indie-rock luminary's phase in life. While Paul Banks was braving Hurricane Sandy for a Letterman appearance on the other side of the continent, Mould brought gale-force ferocity to a performance of Silver Age head-bruiser "Keep Believing" on Conan. As with Mould, drummer John Wurster, and bassist Jason Narducy's appearance last month on, yup, Letterman, it was a blistering rebuke to jaded youth — and as good a reason as any not to lose the punk-rock faith.
