If you’re a Bob Dylan fan, right now might be the time to start planning a trip to Los Angeles. Next year, as part of the Grammys weekend on February 6, a slew of famous musicians will join forces in concert to honor the iconic artist, whom MusiCares just named their 2015 Person of the Year according to the Hollywood Reporter. (was it the Super Bowl Chrysler ad that sealed the deal?).

That means big names ranging from contemporary blues-slingers like Jack White and the Black Keys (on the same bill), Norah Jones and Beck; to legacy acts like Tom Jones, Los Lobos, John Mellencamp, Willie Nelson, and Bonnie Raitt; to in-betweeners like Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder and X’s John Doe. Oh, and Crosby, Stills & Nash will perform, as will Neil Young, but separately.

Don Was, a frequent Dylan collaborator (a producer on Under the Red Sky in 1990 and a mixer on 1995’s MTV Unplugged), will direct the evening, which is presented by the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences.

White has maintained a notable friendship with Dylan, who joined the Lazaretto singer for a performance of the White Stripes’ “Biscuit and Ball” back in 2004. Dylan’s fellow former Person of the Year honorees include Bruce Springsteen, Neil Young, Paul McCartney, Sting, and Tony Bennett. Carole King was awarded the title in February. It’s sure to be a memorable night, with the venue and more guest stars to be announced soon.
