Some want to die before they get old, yet when others age, they embrace reality and give out copies of their unreleased albums to the over-50 community. Yes, legendary singer/songwriter Bob Dylan gave away 50,000 CDs of his forthcoming Shadows in the Night album to a group of randomly selected AARP Magazine readers. According to Wondering Sound, Dylan has also given his first interview in three years, saying, “If it was up to me, I’d give you the records for nothing and you give them to every [reader of your] magazine.” What a softie. Look out for Dylan’s collection of American standards when it’s released on February 3 via Columbia Records.
