You Can Watch Blur Play Their Entire New Album Later Today

Blur

Update: Stream the performance below now.

Blur fans who don’t want to wait another month for the official release of the band’s first album in over a decade are in luck. The onetime Britpop paragons played the entirety of new LP The Magic Whip at a show for 300 fans in London last night, and as reported by the NME, the gig will be broadcast in a stream over Beats’ YouTube channel later today. There are some spoilers about the set, including the band’s older encore choice and some of singer Damon Albarn’s more notable crowd work, over at the NME site, or you can see it for yourself at 8:00 GMT. (That’s actually 4:00 this afternoon EST for those of you too lazy to Google the time difference.)

The Magic Whip is out on April 27, and three songs have already been released from the album, with this week’s “Lonesome Street” being the most recent.
