Debbie Harry, the O.G. white girl rapper, returns to the studio

New Wave O.G.s Blondie have surprised their fans with three brand new songs. In honor of the band's YouTube Presents livestream yesterday, Debbie Harry and co. shared the perhaps regrettably metal-tinged "Bride of Infinity," the placid and dreamy "Dead Air," and a bass-buttressed cover of David Essex's "Rock On," which is something that the nearly 40-year-old band is inarguably doing. They recently wrapped up their co-headlining Whip It To Shreds tour with Devo in support of last year's totally-not-good-but-hey-nice-try-anyway Panic of Girls LP. For something a bit more positive about the pioneering band, take a look at Ms. Harry's entry in SPIN's 50 Biggest White Girl Rap Moments rundown.
