Black Sabbath will be resurrected on June 11, when the heavy metal godfathers release 13, their first album with Ozzy Osbourne behind the mic in 35 years. The Birmingham-born icons have been teasing the upcoming effort as a back-to-basics LP — a return to Sabbath's "bluesy, jammy" early days — and now the Paranoid rockers have unveiled the record's very basic cover art. A flaming "13" sits against a night sky with the words "Black Sabbath" hanging above (check it out up top).

This latest reveal came paired with a quick preview of 13's music, which does indeed have a bluesy feel.

Osbourne recently shared some more thoughts on the forthcoming full-length, telling Australia's Triple M radio station (via Blabbermouth), "The album is mindblowing, [that's] how good it is. I'm so over the moon about the way the album turned out... I put it on my CD player, expecting me to be unhappy with the end result, but this big grin came on my face and my hair on the back on my neck [stood up] … It's better than my wildest dreams. It's so good."

The 64-year-old singer went on to sing the praises of producer Rick Rubin, who helmed the 13 sessions. "And [Rubin] did such a great job on the album. I know if you're a Sabbath fan, you will not be disappointed. It's so Sabbath-y, it's scary. It's the album we should have made after [1973's] Sabbath Bloddy Sabbath." There you have it — Black Sabbath fans will like the new Black Sabbath album. As if all that fawning weren't enough, Ozzy added, "Believe me, I'm the guy that goes, 'Ah, there's a mistake there.' I look for the mistake. If there's one mistake, I'll find it. But this album is great, perfect."

The self-appointed Masters of Reality recorded their newest album with Rage Against the Machine drummer Brad Wilk, who filled in for original percussionist Bill Ward; "contract disputes" led Ward to opt out of this current reunion. Black Sabbath have a number of shows planned for later this year, starting with an April 20 gig in New Zealand.
