Black Lips, Deerhunter to Appear in New ATL Doc; Lohan to Collaborate with Fiddy?
Black Lips' silver screen career is on a roll; the southern garage rockers, along with local notables like Deerhunter, Mastodon, and King Khan & BBQ Show, will appear in We Fun: Atlanta, GA.: Inside/Out, a forthcoming film documenting the city's blossoming music scene. The new documentary is directed by Bill Cody, who helmed predecessor Athens, GA.: Inside/Out, a film which chronicled the college town's mid-1980s music scene. Historian/documentarian Chris Dortch II and producer Matt Robinson also join the fresh effort, which is currently under production and will push forward tomorrow (Nov. 30) by filming the Deerhunter/Black Lips gig at ATL venue Variety Playhouse. Though a tentative release date has yet been announced, the film's MySpace page currently has numerous clips available to view.
Lohan to Collaborate with Fiddy?
Possibly to one-up fellow Hollywood starlet Ashlee Simpson's speculated collaboration with the Cure's Robert Smith, Lindsay Lohan is currently in talks and may join forces with none other than shot-nine-times rapper 50 Cent. According to an interview the actress-cum-singer's father Michael Lohan gave to Life & Style magazine, Ms. Lohan may be hitting the studio alongside Fiddy to relaunch her musical career. "They're talking about working together. Nothing's firm yet, but they're in talks," he said. "They've actually known each other for a while, just from being in the business together and crossing paths at events." [Via NME.com]
