Those busy little buggers! After a year of touring behind their last album, Good Bad Not Evil, Hotlanta’s most-raucous troublemakers the Black Lips will return strong in 2009 with a new album, entitled 200 Million Thousand, and a supporting U.S. tour.
The forthcoming 14-track set is the band’s fifth studio album. A 24-date tour, sponsored by MySpace.com, will kick off February 26 in Birmingham, AL, and lead the foursome into Austin, TX, for SXSW, and elsewhere. Roughly 12,324 Pabst Blue Ribbon beers will presumably be downed and guitarist Ian Saint Pé will catch his own spit in his mouth at least 456 times before the tour concludes in Orlando, FL, March 30.
