On the heels of a lauded Coachella performance, buzzing indie-pop darlings Black Kids will finally — after loads of spilt ink and acclaim — appease the masses July 22 with the release of their debut record, Partie Traumatic. As frontman Reggie Youngblood noted in a video interview with our Peter Gaston at Coachella, the new 10-track set was recorded with ex-Suede guitarist Bernard Butler during a month-long stint in the U.K., where the band’s first single “I’m Not Gonna Teach Your Boyfriend How to Dance with You” debuted at #11 on the singles chart.
