Coachella has announced its 2012 lineup in a tweet, revealing the Black Keys, Radiohead, and Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg will headline the fest’s first double-weekend event — April 13-15 and 20-22. Tickets go on sale this Friday, January 13, at 10 a.m.

Get pumped for six (!) days of music by looking back at our best photos from Coachella ’11.

As we presumed earlier today, newly reunited At the Drive-In are playing the fest, as are Pulp, fIREHOSE, Refused, and Godspeed You! Black Emperor. Toronto smoothies the Weeknd will make their U.S. debut on the Indio stage, and Jeff Mangum will make a big return to the spotlight.

Swedish House Mafia, Pulp, Refused, Arctic Monkeys, Mazzy Star, Afrojack, Explosions in the Sky, M83, Amon Tobin, Cat Power and Madness all nabbed second billing on Friday night. Bon Iver, the Shins, David Guetta, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, Kaskade, Miike Snow, Jeff Mangum, Sebastian Ingrosso, Andrew Bird, Feist, and fIREHOSE did the same Saturday, and At the Drive-In, Justice, Florence + the Machine, AVICII, La Roux, Beirut, the Weeknd, Girl Talk, the Hives, and DJ Shadow scored on Sunday.

Our quick take: It’s a good thing Coachella stretches two weekends this year, because it’ll take at least a pair of Saturdays to catch all the incredible acts playing that day. Saturday is so good, the freaking Buzzcocks were demoted to last-on-the-fifth-line status. Friday brings Kendrick Lamar to the Coachella stage, plus a host of artists who made our Best of 2011 lists: Girls, Frank Ocean, and EMA. And Sunday will deliver one of the most beloved teams in West Coast hip-hop history (and another round of Detox rumors). Plus, the Hives!
