Coliseum frontman Ryan Patterson moonlights as a guitarist for another hardcore outfit: Black God, a supergroup that pulls members from esteemed Louisville wrecking crews such as Black Cross (Patterson, as well as vocalist Rob Pennington), Young Widows (bassist Nick Thieneman), and Mountain Asleep (drummer Ben Sears). The veteran bruisers will unleash their third Black God EP — the aptly titled Three — on September 24 via No Idea Records, but first comes an exclusive stream of “Ghost in You,” a relentless wailer that pairs its bilious instrumentation with shouted devotionals: “Despite the truth,” Pennington barks, “I still believe in you / Yes I do.” Hear it below.
