  • South by Southwest has announced the second batch of performers for the annual Austin, Texas blowout, which takes place in March. Among the 95 confirmed acts: Kanye-approved blue-eyed soul act Francis & the Lights, Dinosaur Jr.‘s J Mascis, British twee-pop band Noah and the Whale, the Jack White-touted songwriter Pujol, and rootsy alt-rockers Alberta Cross.   • British post-punk icons Wire will tour the U.S. next year to promote their forthcoming album, Red Barked Tree. The tour kicks off April 1 in Toronto, ON and wraps April 12 in Portland, OR. [NME]
