Bjork’s ‘Biophilia’ Delayed, TVOTR Prep EP + More

  • Björk‘s forthcoming iPad album Biophilia has had its release date pushed back. The record will now hit on October 11 instead of September 27. No reason was given for its delay. [Consequence of Sound]

  • TV on the Radio will release a live EP on September 6. Captured during a session for NPR’s World Cafe Live, the six-track set includes tracks like “Caffeinated Consciousness,” “Red Dress,” and “Province.” The band have also released the video for “Second Song,” which was featured on the bonus DVD for Nine Types of Light.   • New Wave icon Gary Numan will return with a new album this fall. The British musician’s latest, titled Dead Son Rising, will be released on October 24. In advance of the record, Numan has dropped the album’s first track, titled “The Fall,” which you can hear here.

  • T.I. is back in federal custody one day after his release from jail. The rapper, who was en route to finish out his parole violation sentence in an Atlanta, GA halfway house, was taken in because of an issue involving his method of transportation. No specifics have been revealed, but T.I.’s lawyer told TMZ, “We are awaiting the opportunity to quickly resolve whatever the issue may be with the Federal Bureau of Prisons has with [his] method of transportation, bus, from Arkansas to Atlanta.” He is currently housed in a federal prison in Atlanta.
