Bjork Enlists Small Army of Collaborators

The rambunctious nightingale could take Timbaland's beats to "another level" on forthcoming album.

Fans of Bjork have always expected the unexpected from the Icelandic chanteuse, and that will remain the case on her forthcoming album, a website post confirms. In addition to revealing beat emperor Timbaland as a collaborator, the post also explains the two musicians met "for a couple of sessions and laid down some beats for two tracks," which Bjork has now taken to "another level." Slated for a late spring release on Atlantic, the yet-to-be titled album also features cameos from Antony and the Johnsons' Antony Hegerty, drumming courtesy of Chris Corsano, and additional percussion by Lightning Bolt's Brian Chippendale. And if an album wasn't enough, the website post also states Bjork will hit the road sometime this year.
