Big Sean’s album Dark Sky Paradise drops today, and for the title track he’s chosen a pretty on-the-nose way to illustrate his rise to music stardom. The video for “Dark Sky (Skyscrapers)” follows the rapper as he slowly ascends a tall (and not very well-lit) building while reflecting upon his slow but sure arrival into the upper-echelons of hip-hop. “Started from the basement made it to the skyscrapers,” he boasts in the hook, which might explain why he appears to be riding a freight elevator.
