Big Boi Arrested, Stream Beirut's New LP + More

  • Big Boi was arrested on Sunday in Miami for drug possession, according to TMZ. The Outkast rapper was found with ecstasy, MDMA powder, and unprescribed Viagra pills by customs and border patrol dogs while exiting a cruise ship. He was held on $16,000 bond, but released yesterday afternoon. (He tweeted yesterday, "Fresh Out Baby!"). In a statement to CNN, his lawyer Daniel Kane said he was traveling with friends and the contraband was found in the "collective luggage." "I am confident when the entire facts are aired Big Boi will be completely exonerated," his lawyer said.

  • After debuting in South America earlier this year, Lollapalooza International will return to Chile for a second installment in 2012, and also expand to Sao Paulo, Brazil.The Chile edition will take place March 31-April 1 at O'Higgins Park, while the Brazilian festival will be held April 7-8 at the Jockey Club.   • Wilco's Jeff Tweedy has teamed up with San Francisco art-rockers Deerhoof for a collaborative single "Behold a Raccoon in the Darkness," a re-worked version of Deerhoof's "Behold a Marvel in the Darkness." Tweedy has also collaborated with his sons Sam and Spencer for a song titled "Own It," the first track from their new band the Raccoonists. Both tracks will be included on a 7-inch single.   • Neon Indian has announced a fall tour behind their new album Era Extraña, due out September 13. The tour - which features openers Com Truise and Purity Ring - kicks off September 15 in Philadelphia, PA and wraps on October 21 in New York City. [Neon Indian]
