Big 4 Plot More Dates, Green Day on B’Way + More

  • After this weekend’s Big Four spectacle in Indio, CA, Metallica‘s Lars Ulrich says more concerts with thrash icons Slayer, Megadeth, and Anthrax are in the works. The bands are looking into booking dates across the country, although there are no plans to turn it into a touring festival. “I like the fact that there’s an element of chaos to the whole thing, ” Ulrich said. “It shouldn’t be sterile, streamlined, and perfect: it needs an edgy underbelly to remain authentic.” No dates have been announced yet.   • Eminem is reviving his Bad Meets Evil rap duo with Royce Da 5’9″ and releasing a new EP on June 14, via Eminem’s Shady Records imprint. The duo recorded under the moniker in the late-’90s — the song “Bad Meets Evil” later appeared on Em’s Slim Shady LP — but the pair had a falling out soon after. “Royce and I started hanging out again and inevitably that led us back into the studio,” Eminem said in a statement. “At first we were just seeing where it went without any goal in mind, but the songs started to come together, so here we are.”

  • Kate Bush has teamed up with British actor Robbie Coltrane to star in a video for a reworked version of her 1989 song “Deeper Understanding.” The track will be featured on Director’s Cut, a collection of rejiggered Bush tunes, set to be released on May 16. Watch the video below (via Pitchfork)

  • Arctic Monkey have announced a U.S. tour to promote their new album Suck It and See. The British rockers’ trek will kick off on August 1 in Dallas and wrap on August 11 in Portland.
