Watch Beyonce Invite Jay Z to Flaunt His ‘Tom Ford’ Live in Brooklyn

Beyoncé, Jay Z, "Tom Ford," Brooklyn, Barclays Center, Video

Last night was a big one for famous rappers making cameos. Drake brought out “role model” Kanye West at Toronto’s OVO Fest, along with a panoply of other singers and MCs. Elsewhere on August 5, Beyoncé performed at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center, and who should show up alongside her onstage but her husband, the borough’s own Jay Z. Watch shaky phone footage of Hov joining the “Grown Woman” singer to perform his Magna Carta Holy Grail fashion ode “Tom Ford” above, and stay tuned until the end to see them embrace endearingly.

Separately, something is about to happen with a dance-music track that features Jay. Early this year, Just Blaze released a collaboration with Baauer called “Higher,” which sampled Jay Z (from a track Just Blaze had produced) and expertly showcased Blaze’s previously declared admiration of TNGHT half Hudson Mohawke. Now a video trailer, which you can watch below, teases a fuller project that will arrive on August 13. Directed by Nabil Elderkin — who has worked with Frank Ocean, James Blake, and Kanye West — the clip involves flames, a maniacally chattering man with crazy eyes, and a painfully brief snippet of the music. A Beyoncé cameo seems unlikely.
