Songstress Beth Orton has announced the track list for her fourth album, Comfort of Strangers, to be released on Astralwerks on February 7 of next year. Comfort was recorded in a lightning-fast session this past spring with erstwhile Sonic Youth bassist Jim O'Rourke acting as producer. Orton, O'Rourke, and drummer Tim Barnes created all of Comfort in two weeks time. All songs on the upcoming release were composed by Orton, with the exception of the title track, which was written by Orton, O'Rourke, and alt-country darling M. Ward. Orton is no stranger to collaboration: On previous releases, she's worked with the Chemical Brothers and Ryan Adams.
