This past Sunday closed out New Orleans Jazz Fest’s second weekend at the city’s Fair Grounds Race Course. The gigantic festival has become an institution for the city, where eleven stages of music host acts from local factions of jazz, blues, gospel, brass band, and folk-rock alongside headliners. Mobile brass bands toured through the stalls that sold crafts, art, or fried foods (po-boys! beignets! catfish! crab cakes!) picking up revelers as they danced their way from one stage to another.
