Hear Bent Shapes’ Sprawling Mini-Epic ‘Big Machines’

Bent Shapes

Bent Shapes have released a steady output of 7-inch vinyl and cassette tapes since forming in 2009, but the Boston trio will finally unleash their debut album, Feels Weird, on August 20. The jangle-pop outfit — composed of Andy Sadoway, Ben Potrykus, and Supriya Gunda — teased the upcoming full-length a few months back with fidgety lead single “Behead Yrself, Pt. 2” (via Stereogum), and now the Feelies-informed tunesmiths have shared a second sample, “Big Machines.” It’s a song that marries tight, hummable melodies to ramshackle garage sprawl, all of which can be heard below. Pre-orders for Feels Weird are currently available through Father/Daughter Records.
