As they lead up to the release of Hot Sauce Committee Part 2 on May 3, the Beastie Boys have dropped a 30-second teaser of the album’s first track “Make Some Noise,” which you can hear here.
The Beasties seem to be in top form even though they’ve hit their mid-40s. Over thick turntable scratches, hot live drums, and a funky clavinet riff, Mike D boasts, “As I get older, I’m getting bolder, competition is waning!”
The Beastie Boys aren’t waiting long to give fans a better taste of the album. Los Angeles radio station KROQ will premiere the full track next week, along with the Beastie’s 30-minute star-studded long-form video Fight For Your Right Revisited, which they debuted at Sundance.
