Beastie Boys’ Ad-Rock Sets Rare Solo Show at Small L.A. Club

Beastie Boys’ Adam “Ad-Rock” Horovitz has set up his first Los Angeles show in years, KROQ reports. The event, dubbed “Ad Rock Presents And Performs With His Friends & NYC Sensation Bridget Everett,” will take place on Sunday, December 2, at intimate Los Angeles club Largo. Tickets, available here while supplies last, are $25 plus service fee.

In June, Ad-Rock made his first public performance since fellow Beastie Boy Adam “MCA” Yauch’s death (read our review of Ad-Rock’s Pussy Riot-benefiting DJ set). According to KROQ, Horovitz hasn’t played L.A. since Yauch’s cancer diagnosis forced the Beastie Boys to scratch a planned 2009 Hollywood Bowl concert.

Bridgett Everett is a bawdy comedian who will be bringing her band Tender Moments to the show. Her songs include “Our Hit Parade” and “At Least It’s Pink.” The Daily Swarm points to a video of her performing the “Boob Song” with Ad-Rock; watch it below, and maybe double-check that you’re wearing headphones.
