Basement Jaxx have already dropped two singles this year — "Back 2 the Wild" in April and "What a Difference Your Love Makes" in July — and now the British house duo of Felix Buxton and Simon Ratcliffe have shared a third. "Mermaid of Salinas" is a vibrant banger that proudly wears its Latin influences on its manga (English translation: sleeve), splicing together Spanish language samples with pinched horn hits and speedy flamenco guitar clips. Stream it above.

"Mermaid of Salinas" appears on the upcoming What a Difference Your Love Makes EP, due September 29 via 37 Adventures. Pre-order the upcoming five-track collection — which also features three remixes of "What a Difference Your Love Makes," in addition to the original — via iTunes.
