Barack Obama Stocks Inauguration Playlist With Beyonce, fun.

beyonce, fun., barack obama

Barack Obama’s second inauguration ceremony is set for Monday, January 21 (the official swearing-in happens the day before, on January 20) and to prepare for the historic occasion, the President has once again assembled a playlist on Spotify and shared it with the public. Unsurprisingly, the POTUS made the smart move politically and cherry-picked songs from artists booked to perform at this weekend’s various inauguration galas.

The 17-track First Mix features songs from previously announced swearing-in singers Beyoncé, Kelly Clarkson, and James Taylor, as well as Katy Perry, fun., Stevie Wonder, Smokey Robinson, Usher, John Legend, Marc Anthony, Alicia Keys, Brad Paisley, the Glee cast, Nick Cannon, Mindless Behavior, Far East Movement, and youth gospel choir Soul Children of Chicago, all of whom will play at different events commemorating the start of Obama’s second term. If you won’t be one of the 35,000 people expected to attend the Inaugural Ball, or one of the 4,000 folks set to crash the Commander-in-Chief’s Ball, then this playlist will be the closest you get to the festivities.
