Back in July, Cee-Lo unexpectedly offered up a synthed-out, dancey version of Band of Horses’ “No One’s Gonna Love You.” Now, Ben Bridwell and his band have returned the favor with their own version of Cee-Lo’s “Georgia” (from his forthcoming album The Ladykiller) — and they’ve roped in the University of Georgia’s Redcoat Marching Band to help beef up the track. The song can be downloaded at Band of Horses’ site and is also available on 7″, with Cee-Lo’s cover as a B-side.

Bridwell explains that his choice to cover the song came after wanting to pay tribute to his favorite Georgia Bulldogs. “Once I heard Cee-Lo’s ‘Georgia,’ I was immediately smitten and figured that’s as good as any tribute to any state I’ve ever heard,” Bridwell said in a statement. “It wasn’t until I heard his cover of our song though that it occurred to me: Duh, we should return the favor.”
