Backstage at Virgin Fest: Incubus

After taking a few years off from living life on the road, Incubus are back on tour in support of their latest effort, 2006's Light Grenades. Before quenching die-hard fans with their gut-punching melodies at the North Stage this afternoon (Aug. 4), lanky frontman Brandon Boyd, DJ Chris Kilmore, and bassist Ben Kenney, undeterred by festival heat, also made a brief stop at the SPIN.com tent to talk to correspondent Daniel Casanova. The festival mainstays relished in the small luxuries of not living on a tour bus and the pros and cons of playing festivals, while also gushing about seeing the Police, who are slated to headlinine the North Stage tonight. A few 'poo' jokes made their way in as well (no questions!) -- check it out.
