Babyshambles Hit Studio

It seems Brit rocker Pete Doherty’s latest stint in rehab alongside his waif pin-up girlfriend may have done some good. In addition to mending his previously fragmented relationship with former Libertines co-frontman Carl Barat during an onstage reunion, Doherty has taken another step toward musical manufacture — a pastime he shied away from in his debauchery-ridden times of late — by reportedly beginning to record material for a new Babyshambles album. Speaking to XFM satellite radio, Babyshambles drummer Adam Ficek exposed the band is entertaining “talk of Shaun Ryder [Happy Mondays] maybe doing something on it [the new record],” while claiming, “Amy Winehouse as well may be doing a little collaboration…She’s a friend of ours. Our people are talking to their people…we’ll see what happens.”

Furthermore, Ficek revealed that the band currently have over 35 songs penned for the record, which Babyshambles will lay alongside famed producer Stephen Street (The Smiths, Blur, Kaiser Chiefs), including titles like “Delivery,” “Death Left Hands,” and “Little Heart Ache.”
