The probability that the long-delayed platter will actually arrive sometime soon has been growing thanks to a spate of recent releases. The woman went full-on Queen of Darkness for her disturbing "Yung Rapunxel" video. She teamed up with the hit-making Pharrell Williams to rap about thongs on "ATM JAM." And we know that the former SPIN cover star has added Disclosure to the list of collaborators lending their hands to fine-tuning the final product.
Oh, and she became an EDM-pop princess with "No Problems," a feat she repeats to the nth degree with a Paul Oakenfold assist on her new song "Venus (Ibiza Edition)." The track is made for exactly the sort of clubs that dot the titular Iberian island: Steady four-four pulse, big drop-outs followed by even bigger drops, easy-to-follow rhymes, and (most surprisingly) a melodically pleasing hook crooned by Banks herself. Cue the lasers:
