Avicii's June 25 concert at Boston's TD Garden left 36 fans in the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, while at least 50 more were treated by EMTs on the scene. There were no fatalities.

According to The Boston Globe, people were being taken out on stretchers from the sweltering show. Massachusetts General Hospital treated at least 12 patients whose ages ranged from 16 to 19. "There may have been some illicit drug involved, but none have been identified," Michael Bosse, deputy superintendent for Boston EMS, said.

"You couldn't breathe if you were on the floor. It was the best and worst time ever," said 19-year-old attendee Mike Santostefano, who added that he saw "a lot of people who couldn’t handle themselves. People who don’t do drugs come here and do drugs."

"It was just too crazy in there," said Roisin Saratonion, who left the show early. "You get really hot in there and you just pass out. You couldn’t breathe. It was claustrophobic. People get dehydrated."

Reporter Tim Caputo of local news station WHDH was at the show, and said it wasn't too hot inside. "Alcohol and drugs can dehydrate you. One worker said 'vomit everywhere'. It was 1 beer limit at concert," he tweeted. "We met hundreds of sober concert-goers. The vast majority of people I saw partied responsibly," he added.

Avicii himself commented a few hours after the show. "Just hearing the awful news abt tonight," the 24-year-old Swedish DJ tweeted. "Its a terrible thing, I rly hope everyone is ok! My thoughts go to those affected & their families."

This incident comes just six weeks after 29 people were hospitalized at one of his shows in Toronto, and just days after two people died at Las Vegas' Electric Daisy Carnival, where Avicii also performed.
