So Cal band drops Suicide Squeeze seven-inch single
Southern California has become an undeniable font for music fans seeking young punk rippers on the rise. Audacity hail from Fullerton, an Orange County city that also happens to be home to the inimitable DIY bastion known as Burger Records. The band and the label collaborated on last year's thrilling Mellow Cruisers LP, a record whose title gives away these shredding dudes' occasional allegiance to the morals of melody.
But we've already got something new from the crew: the noisy and celebratory "Finders Keepers," which also quite confidently declares, "Losers weepers!" over a mix of Buzzcocks blitz and Sonic Youth note-warping. The entire thing ends with a sudden explosion of rock, so brace your laptop for impact should you seek to save it.
On April 2, "Finders Keepers" comes to the always reliable 7-inch series curated by Seattle's Suicide Squeeze imprint, backed with an unheard jam called "Onomatopoeia." The translucent green discs will be limited to 500 copies. Pre-order here.
