Atoms for Peace Tease Rehearsals as Radiohead’s Jonny Greenwood Joins Twitter

Atoms for Peace

As Atoms for Peace prepare for their first shows since 2010, Thom Yorke and his bandmates have also been spending a bit of time on social media.

Radiohead guitarist Jonny Greenwood has joined Twitter. You can follow him here: @JnnyG. His nine tweets so far include some classical recommendations. Yorke tweeted a characteristically cryptic shout-out to “Jonnyfingersgreenwood” over the weekend.

Meanwhile, Radiohead producer and Atoms for Peace member Nigel Godrich was also active on Twitter over the weekend. He linked to a video from the Amok-runners’ most recent performance, three years ago at Japan’s Fuji Rock Festival, and wrote, “Currently trying to remember how to do this.” He also posted a Vine video (below) and an almost-short-enough-for-Vine YouTube video (above) showing Atoms for Peace in rehearsal mode.

As mentioned, it’s all incredibly short, but it’s the most recent live-ish Atoms for Peace we’ve got for now. Yorke recently announced that Atoms for Peace’s lineup of him, Godrich, Flea, Joey Waronker, and Mauro Refosco would be starting rehearsals. The Radiohead singer also recently performed Atoms’ “Ingenue” on Britain’s The Jonathan Ross Show, so there’s one song we know he shouldn’t need to practice a whole lot.
