On December 9, Brooklyn-based indie label Mexican Summer will commemorate its fifth anniversary with Mexican Summer: Five Years, a limited-pressing, 250-page book that comes with an exclusive 10-inch. The vinyl contains a number of collaborative tracks, including Fennesz and Autre Ne Veut’s previously heard “Alive,” and a fresh team-up between Los Angeles lo-fi weirdo Ariel Pink and New York art-rock experimentalist Jorge Elbrecht (Violens, Lansing-Dreiden). Credited to the moniker of Jorge Elbrose and titled “Called to Ring,” the new song snows over lilting vocals with layers of fuzz before shape-shifting into a heartbroken headbanger. Stream it below.

Ariel Pink and Jorge Elbrecht also released a 7-inch together earlier this year. Listen to their soft-rock ode “Hang on to Life,” then watch the track’s music video, directed by Elbrecht and Alejandro Cardenas.
