On February 18, Angel Olsen will drop her second album, the fiercely titled Burn Your Fire For No Witness. Rightly recognized as one of the 50 Albums You Gotta Hear in 2014, the upcoming effort finds the Missouri-born singer-songwriter leaving behind the folky quietude of 2012's Half Way Home for sturdy fuzz-rock produced by John Congleton (Cloud Nothings, Modest Mouse, St. Vincent). Olsen shared the LP's first single, "Forgiven/Forgotten," a few weeks ago, and now she's let the second one slip. The just-unveiled "Hi-Five" finds a compromise between alt-country and noise-rock, offering a Southern shuffle — and lonely heart — coated in wobbly distortion. Check it out via the disco ball-sporting visual above (courtesy of Zia Anger, who also directed the music video for "Forgiven/Forgotten"). Pre-orders of Burn Your Fire For No Witness are currently available through iTunes and Amazon, and Olsen also has a long list of tour dates coming up, which can be found below.
