Remember when Island Records formulated a plan to book three studios in London in the hopes that Amy Winehouse might stumble into the nearest one and record vocals for that thing she's supposed to be working on -- what was it again? -- oh, right: her new album?

Well, that wily Winehouse has managed to thwart her label's best efforts once again. Currently on an extended vacation in St. Lucia, the hard-partying singer has sent word home that she'd like to island-hop over to Jamaica to record her new record.

"Amy is having the time of her life in St. Lucia and doesn't want it to end," a source told UK paper The Sun. "She is looking and feeling so much better and is worried about the bad influences waiting for her back in London. She has written a big chunk of her new album and has told bosses she wants to go to Jamaica to record it."

That makes sense. Because we've heard Jamaica is the Caribbean equivalent of Promises: totally bad influence-free.

Still, the source added, "They are keen to accommodate her as long as she keeps getting better and carries on working."
