Album Leaf Make Album, Documentary

Watch as James LaValle, the wunder-musician behind the Album Leaf, narrates a video on the making of his fourth album, Into the Blue Again.

James LaValle, the multi-instrumentalist behind the Album Leaf, has documented the making of his fourth full-length, Into the Blue Again (out Sept. 12), to give fans a glimpse into his recording process. In it, viewers learn snippets on how LaValle honed his chops (took piano lessons at age four, began drumming in junior high, picked up the guitar in high school) and how he lays down keys, beats, guitar, and glockenspiels, among other instruments. And what does this all mean for the album? "I feel like I'm in a lot more stable part of my life now," LaValle says while narrating the clip. "I feel like it's a happier record."
