  • Adele tops the charts this week with her sophomore album, 21. The British singer moved 350,000 units of the record in its first week, making it the biggest-selling debut of the year, according to the singer’s label Columbia.

  • Following frontman Brandon Flowers, the Killers‘ drummer Ronnie Vannucci is working on a solo album, which he says is inspired by his “love of rock’n’roll.” Vannucci is currently recording the disc in London: “The people I trust most with music, some of those people are here.” [BBC]

  • Here’s a cool one from the vaults: an unedited interview with Kim Gordon from 1988, where the Sonic Youth bassist opens up about art, sex, and being a woman in a rock band. Check it out.

  • After Odd Future leader Tyler, the Creator signed a solo deal with label XL, his pals Hodgy Beats and Left Brain have plans to release their own music with Fat Possum. The label will reissue the duo’s album Blackenedwhite, which will be remastered and feature bonus content, this summer. Odd Future have also filmed a hilarious spoof with Funny or Die (featuring comedian Paul Scheer) that pokes fun at their breakout success: “They’re like Nicki Minaj with dicks…and there’s nine of them.” Watch below.

  • Check out the hot new single from rap duo the Knux, the rocking, fuzzed-out banger “She’s So Up.” The California-based duo are slated to release their second album later this year.
