Nancy Grace Debated 2 Chainz About Legalizing Pot

Nancy Grace, 2 Chainz, Pot

Rapper 2 Chainz and shameless crime journalist Nancy Grace faced off on national television last night to debate the merits of legalizing pot. Mr. Chainz is a fan of the idea, to put it mildly, while Grace is a total narc.

Using the hashtag “#Pot2Blame?” Grace warned that the legalization of the plant would lead to young kids getting stoned. Her Exhibit A was a video of a mother forcing her young child to smoke a bowl, and Grace dubbed the kid “Pot Tot,” which, wow. The B.O.A.T.S. MC smartly responded, “Anybody that loves their kid definitely knows not to put them in harm’s way,” and added that the clip was not representative of the behavior of most pot smokers. He also pointed out that alcohol was a much more serious problem, but Grace isn’t a teetotaler calling for a second prohibition.

He also talked about the benefits of pot, saying that it helps alleviate his anxiety before playing a show in front of tens of thousands of fans. Furthermore, 2 Chainz argued, as many have, that legalizing pot would prevent people from getting needless criminal records. “I just feel like if you legalize this particular drug it could cut out certain things in the criminal justice system as far as the overcrowding of prisons,” he said. Grace, of course, didn’t buy it.

At one point Grace started quoting (rapping?) 2 Chainz lyrics. It was bizarre. Watch the whole debate above, or if you’re short on time, watch a summary of Nancy Grace’s position below:
